Hi, I’m Julie!
I want to capture your memories on video - so you can live in the moment and still have keepsake footage to look back on and share years and years later.
While I have always been the resident “documenter” among family and friends, in 2022 I was gifted a vintage camcorder that inspired me to document more than my own life. I went on a search to see if anyone was still filming weddings the way we used to - an unposed, truly candid style on camcorder. From what I could tell, no one was doing it. Or at least not any videographers you could hire. I knew I’d found a “something old, something new” niche that I was sure a lot of couples would appreciate as an alternative to modern wedding films.
Julie Marie Film was born out of a desire to provide raw home video footage and creative films for couples who don’t want to go the modern route. I use old home videos as my guide - raw, authentic, the juicy stuff. It’ll be fun, and you’ll have memories to last a lifetime.

A little bit about Julie
I was born and raised in Southeast Missouri, before moving to Branson, MO through my college years. In 2021 I met my now husband and moved to Kansas City! We got married in 2023 and now live on the Kansas side in a sweet little house with our cat, Basil. I have always been a creative person with tons of ideas for my life, but it was only after starting Julie Marie Film that I began tapping into all the creative endeavors I’ve been interested in since I was little. I enjoy writing, painting, reading, and of course filming. When I’m not editing, you can find me playing card games at my favorite coffee shops or cocktail bars, or cuddled up at home watching movies and shows that inspire me. I’ve always loved all things vintage, so you can bet after filming your wedding, I’m pulling over to check out your local antique store.
